Rescue 1 and Engine 2 were dispatched to a CO incident at the old Villa Marie Complex on West Saddle River Road, Saddle River. SRFD was on scene with high levels of CO in the structure. The complex is presently a Hospice center with approximately 11 occupants, plus staff. An evacuation of all individuals began, while a second alarm was sounded for additional manpower. NORCON, Mahwah FD Hazmat and Bergen County Hazmat also responded. At the same time the medical services were mobilizing. MICON was notified and ALS & area BLS units were dispatched to transport the victims to Holly Name Hospital. A great coordination of resources by the Saddle River Command and all those units involved.
