Kidde Smoke CO Detectors Recalled

Saturday, November 12, 2016
-
Kidde is recalling combination smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. The recall includes Kidde Nighthawk combination smoke and CO detectors. The alarms in these detectors can fail to chirp, thus not alerting owners when the detector has reached its seven-year end of life and needs to be replaced. The detector can fail to alert owners to the end of the device's life if the batteries are replaced. Homeowners could believe that their detectors are still working properly when, in actuality, they are not.

Tower 641 set up in front of the structure and the crews went to work on a vent of the home. Numerous towns responded to this call due to the temperatures in the 90's as Wyckoff Command kept fresh crews rotating in the structure. A good job by all involved.

Happy Mothers Day

Sunday, May 8, 2016
-
On behalf of Chief Andy and President Tom , we would like to wish all our Waldwick Fire Department Moms a Happy Motherís Day. There are no bounds to a motherís love and affection shown on their child and her entire family. Mother and her love are quite beyond understandable. No poet in the world can ever place a motherís love into words. She is an incredible woman that God has created for every human being in this world, She always showers her love, caring and affection towards her kids and families. No one in this world shows unconditional love except a mother. May we all enjoy our day with our Moms and if our Moms are not with us, let us remember them with a smile and keep them in our hearts.
